In other words, it would thus be impossible to work cohesively with them for the betterment of the economy. By refusing the gifts from my subordinates, I'd not be able to build camaraderie with them, which would adversely affect the development of our operations.”
He continued, “This would be especially apparent if you were to be suddenly parachuted into a decision-making role in a new working environment. By refusing to accept any of their gifts and rejecting their goodwill, you'd never find acceptance amongst them. In turn, it'll be hard for you to get many things off the ground and you would, consequently, fail to get anything done right.”
