Chapter 8 Do Not Worry
“Mr. Hayes, did you hear that? How could Jipsdale Premier High have such a student? Arrogant, too arrogant.” Selena stood up from the sofa in anger.
“Do you not know what your daughter is like?” Sophie was displeased at how aggressive Selena was.
“You! Mr. Hayes, if you can't handle this, get Mr. Langston here.” Selena knew the principal, Andy Langston was busy and didn't have time for this, but she couldn't wait any longer.
“Well, Mrs. Zales—”
“What about this? It's very clear. She bullied my daughter for no reason. Now, are you still going to defend her? Mr. Hayes, what exactly is your relationship with her?”
Derrick had no choice but to bring in the discipline teacher, Rhett Quillen.
Upon seeing the discipline teacher, Selena immediately said, “Mr. Quillen, you must give me an explanation today. Look at my daughter's foot. If you don't handle this properly today, I'll have to involve the police. This is intentional harm.”
Rhett saw the angry expression on Selena's face, and then glanced at Sophie, who hadn't uttered a single word.
“What's going on, Mr. Hayes? Didn't this student just transfer here? How could there be such a commotion on her very first day?”
“Mr. Quillen, some conflicts between girls are normal. I don't think it's necessary to overreact.”
“Am I overreacting? How could you say that, Mr. Hayes?”
“Since it's all Sophie's fault, let the parents come to pick her up.” After seeing Yvonne's foot, Rhett made a decision.
On the other hand, Ysabelle immediately called Tristan after seeing Sophie being summoned by their teacher.
“Uncle Tristan, come quickly. Someone at school is bullying me.”
When Tristan received Ysabelle's call, he was in a meeting.
“Find your dad.”
“Uncle Tristan, if my dad finds out, he'll kill me. Please come quickly!” Ysabelle was on the verge of tears. Sophie only stepped on Yvonne because of her.
Tristan knew how much his father adored Ysabelle, so he stopped working and went to Jipsdale Premier High with Felix.
Meanwhile, Rhett asked Sophie to call her parents to the school.
Ysabelle knocked on the door and entered immediately after getting permission.
“Mr. Quillen, this has nothing to do with Sophie. Yvonne bullied me.”
Seeing Ysabelle, Rhett couldn't help but frown.
“Hey, what do you know? My daughter has always been an excellent student, while this Sophie has always had a bad reputation. Do you think Mr. Quillen would believe you?”
“What I said is true, Mr. Hayes. It's really Yvonne.”
Seeing that they didn't believe her, Ysabelle was on the verge of tears.
“Ysabelle, this is none of your business. Go back.” Sophie didn't expect Ysabelle to come.
Ysabelle walked to Sophie's side.
“Sophie, don't be afraid, I'm here!”
Sophie didn't expect to hear such words from another girl.
“Mr. Quillen, see, these two are in cahoots.” Selena continued to be unreasonable. “Both of them should be expelled. Keeping such students will only tarnish the reputation of Jipsdale Premier High.”
Rhett couldn't figure out Ysabelle's background and hesitated to make a decision.
““Mrs. Zales, about this—”
“Mr. Quillen, if you can't handle this today, then I'll have to call Mr. Langston.” Selena continued to pressure Rhett.
Rhett knew the Zales family's position in Jipsdale. As he was merely the discipline teacher, he didn't dare to offend them.
“Then both of them will be expelled,” Rhett said helplessly.
“Mr. Quillen, they haven't committed any serious offenses. How can you just expel them like this?” Derrick thought this decision was too hasty. He was responsible for every student in the class, so even though he knew Sophie's grades were poor, he didn't harbor any prejudice.
“Mr. Hayes, I've made up my mind. Mrs. Zales, I heard that your company recently...”
“How could Mr. Quillen...” Even the usually gentle and docile Ysabelle was angry at this point. “Don't worry, Sophie. I've already called my uncle. He's quite capable.”
Sophie raised an eyebrow. Did she say she was afraid? It was just Jipsdale Premier High.
She could expel someone with just a phone call.
“Who are you planning to expel? Mr. Quillen, I don't think you should remain as the discipline teacher.” At the door, Felix couldn't contain his anger after overhearing Rhett's intention to expel Ysabelle.
As soon as he finished speaking, Felix pushed the door open, allowing Tristan to enter first.
Tristan didn't expect to see Sophie here, although he knew she also attended Jipsdale Premier High. In fact, he had been thinking of seeing her later.
“Who are you two?” Rhett hadn't seen Tristan and Felix before, but judging by their demeanor, he knew they were not to be trifled with.
“What a coincidence.” Felix was somewhat surprised to see Sophie too.
Upon seeing these two, Sophie couldn't help but frown. How was it that she could run into them wherever she went?
“Who we are doesn't matter. What's important is that you had no right to expel them.”
“How arrogant! Do you think this is your home? We're at school. If Mr. Quillen says he wants to expel someone, what can you do?”
Although the Zales family was prestigious, they were nowhere near the Lombard family's level. Selena had never had the chance to mingle in Tristan's circle, so she couldn't recognize who was in front of her.
“Mr. Quillen, just expel them both directly. If anything happens, we, the Zales Corporation, will take responsibility.”
“Zales Corporation?” Tristan finally spoke up. “Felix, is Zales Corporation formidable?”
“I don't know. What does Zales Corporation do?” At this moment, Felix really couldn't remember much about Zales Corporation.
“Mr. Quillen, see that? They don't even know what Zales Corporation does, yet they're pretending to be big shots here!” Selena couldn't help but look down on them.
“Why? Is Zales Corporation impressive?” Felix countered.
“Do you believe that with just one phone call from me, you won't even know how you meet your doom?” Selena became even more triumphant. Are they scared now?
“To be honest, I'm a bit afraid. I have a big family to support. What if I lost my job?” Felix mocked.
Selena was too confident in Zales Corporation. Hearing him speak like this, she became even more pleased with herself.
“How about it? If you kneel down and apologize to me now, I might let you off.”
“What?” Now it was their turn to get bullied. The saying, “Give them an inch and they'll take a mile” was true!
Tristan was already impatient. What was the point of wasting time with such people here?
“Felix, I'll give you three hours. Make this Zales Corporation disappear from Jipsdale. No one from the Zales family should appear anywhere I might go.”
When it came to arrogance and dominance, who could compare to Tristan?
“What did you say? Are you dreaming? Make Zales Corporation disappear? Do you think you're Tristan Lombard?” In Jipsdale, only Tristan would dare to say such things.
“Mr. Quillen, I don't want anyone to know about today's events.” With that, Tristan walked out.
Ysabelle immediately pulled Sophie and followed. She knew her uncle's intervention would definitely sort things out.
