Chapter 9 Never Doubt His Words
Seeing them all leave, Felix immediately made a phone call.
“Hello, make Zales Corporation disappear from Jipsdale within three hours.”
Selena finally realized the seriousness of the situation.
“Who are you people?”
She was on the verge of losing her balance.
“Him? He's the Tristan Lombard you've been talking about! You expect Tristan's niece to apologize to you? You've got some nerve!”
“Tristan Lombard? Was that really Tristan?” Selena sat down on the sofa in shock. What had she just said?
“Mr. Quillen, the Lombard family doesn't want Ysabelle's identity to be exposed. Today's events must not be leaked.”
The Lombard family just wanted to give Ysabelle a simple life.
“Okay, okay.” What could Rhett say at this point?
Tristan was someone who could make Jipsdale shake if he sneezed.
“As for you, Mrs. Zales, it's best for you to leave Jipsdale quickly! Don't doubt Mr. Tristan's words.”
After Felix finished speaking, he strode away.
Although he said that, Tristan most probably showed up here today because of Sophie. IN the past, when Ysabelle had caused trouble, it was always them who dealt with it.
Does Mr. Tristan really hold Sophie in such high regard?
Meanwhile, Ysabelle was ecstatic to see Tristan come to her school to help her out.
“Uncle Tristan, thank you! Please don't tell my dad about this, or he'll kill me.”
“Okay.”
“Uncle Tristan, this is my classmate and good friend, Sophie Tanner. She helped me today and got into trouble with Yvonne.” It was clear Ysabelle liked Sophie a lot.
“Have you eaten yet?” It was lunchtime, and they probably hadn't eaten yet.
“No, Uncle Tristan, are you treating me to a meal? Great! I want the seafood stew from Victoria Restaurant.”
“Sure,” Tristan agreed with a nod.
“Really? Uncle Tristan, that's great.” Ysabelle happily held Tristan's hand.
However, under Tristan's cold gaze, she immediately let go. How could she forget that her uncle didn't like others touching him?
“Ysabelle, I have something else to do.” Sophie didn't plan to have lunch with them.
Hearing that, Ysabelle immediately grabbed her hand tightly.
“Sophie, I must thank you for today's matter. So, I must treat you to this meal. If you don't go, it means you don't consider me a friend.” Ysabelle's tone was firm, but she put on an adorable expression. “Come on, it's just a meal. Uncle Tristan won't eat you.”
Felix couldn't help but cough. Who knows, Mr. Tristan might want to eat her up!
“What's wrong, Mr. Northley? If you're not feeling well, go to the hospital.” Ysabelle glared at Felix discontentedly.
“It's nothing.” Felix waved his hand immediately. “I'll call Victoria Restaurant now.”
Sophie was most afraid of girls like Ysabelle whose soft and tender demeanor made it impossible for anyone to resist.
“Okay.” It was just a meal after all, so Sophie agreed with a nod.
“I'll go drive. You guys wait here for me.” Felix immediately went to drive the car.
After the car arrived, Tristan personally opened the car door for Ysabelle.
“Get in!”
“Uncle Tristan, Sophie and I will sit in the back.” Ysabelle wanted to get closer to Sophie. However, with a glance from Tristan, she immediately sat in the front passenger seat.
Tristan closed the door and opened the rear door for Sophie.
“Get in.”
Clearly, he was nicer to Sophie than to his niece.
Sophie got into the car. Tristan followed suit, joining her in the vehicle. The two of them sat side by side.
Upon seeing Tristan's actions, Felix had to bite back the urge to laugh. It was just too obvious! However, was he really serious about treating a twenty-year-old girl this way?
He had no idea Tristan was a beast who liked younger ladies.
“Sophie, what do you like to eat?” Ysabelle turned around enthusiastically to look at Sophie.
“I'm fine with anything.”
Seeing Ysabelle's smiling face, Sophie couldn't bear to be cold. Ysabelle was very much like a good friend of hers.
Along the way, Ysabelle asked Sophie various questions. Her voice was the only one that filled the air.
Surprisingly, Sophie, who was always cold to others, would respond to Ysabelle. However, her responses were always extremely brief.
When they arrived at Victoria Restaurant, the manager had already made the preparations.
Seeing Felix's car arrive, he immediately came forward to greet them.
“Mr. Tristan, Mr. Northley, Ms. Lombard, everything is prepared.”
Tristan got out of the car first, then waited for Sophie to get out before he closed the car door.
The manager had already opened the car door for Ysabelle. After getting out of the car, she immediately walked to Sophie's side.
“Sophie, let's go in! Uncle Tristan, we'll go to the bathroom first.” After speaking, she led Sophie into the restaurant.
Felix got out of the car and came to Tristan's side.
“Sophie is very considerate of Ysabelle! It seems that Ysabelle really likes Sophie.” Ysabelle had never been nice to them.
“Yeah.” Tristan had also noticed.
“It seems that to get close to Sophie, we still have to rely on Ysabelle!”
Tristan ignored him and went straight into the private room.
After a few minutes, Ysabelle brought Sophie into the private room.
“Sophie, let me make the introductions. This is my Uncle Tristan. In the future, you can call him Uncle Tristan just like me...”
Hearing her say this, Felix almost choked on the water he was drinking.
“Mr. Tristan.” Sophie didn't address him as “Uncle Tristan.” She had nothing to do with him, so she wouldn't casually claim relatives.
“Soph, spare the formalities. What's mine is yours, so my uncle is also yours.”
“Ysabelle,” Tristan interrupted her before she could continue her nonsensical rambling.
There was a whole generation gap between them!
As Tristan was glaring at her, Ysabelle had to shut up.
The manager personally came over to take their orders, providing each of them with a menu.
Ysabelle quickly ordered a few dishes and then turned her head to ask Sophie.
“Soph, what would you like to eat? You don't need to be shy around my uncle.”
Sophie randomly selected two dishes.
“Sure.”
As there were enough dishes, Tristan and Felix handed the menu back to the manage without ordering anything.
“Mr. Tristan, please wait a moment.”
“Soph, can we add each other as friends?” After ordering, Ysabelle immediately wanted to follow her social media.
Sophie didn't refuse. She pulled out her phone and opened up her social media account.
“Soph, where do you live now? May I come to visit you in the future?”
“I'm living in a hotel now. I'll find a house in a few days.” She didn't plan to continue living at the Tanner residence.
“Looking for a house? Let me help you! What kind of place are you looking for?” Felix immediately asked enthusiastically.
Tristan didn't need to say anything explicitly. With just a glance, he could understand.
“Yeah! Soph, let Mr. Northley help you find one. It's troublesome to do it yourself.”
“It's not troublesome. I can handle it on my own.”
“It's no trouble at all! It would be my pleasure to help a beautiful young lady like you.” Felix didn't give her a chance to refuse.
Meanwhile, the manager brought the dishes to the table with the waitstaff.
Sophie sat between Tristan and Ysabelle. As the dishes arrived, both Tristan and Ysabelle reached out simultaneously, each wanting to place the dishes in front of Sophie.
It was the first time Ysabelle had seen Tristan being so attentive to someone else. She had never received such treatment herself, so she couldn't help but look at Tristan with curiosity.
