Antonio had successfully come out of surgery and was transferred to a VIP recovery room. While waiting for his boss to regain consciousness, Rossi quietly went to investigate the incident at the warehouse again without alerting the police. Luckily, the warehouse was located outside the city, away from any residential areas, so no civilians were harmed. However, the big question remained—did Bruno survive? The charred remnants of the warehouse were so utterly destroyed that it was impossible to discern anything. If Bruno had been inside when Antonio detonated the explosives, survival was unlikely. But if he had escaped, that was another matter entirely. The bodyguard entered the recovery room. “Boss, I went back to check the warehouse. I don’t think Bruno made it,” Rossi reported.
