Marcus didn’t think twice before pushing open the door to Mrs. Brenda’s office, a stack of documents tucked under his arm. He’d forgotten to knock—again—a habit he swore he’d break one day. But the second he stepped inside, his breath caught, and the papers nearly slipped from his grip.
