The sound of Marcus’s chair scraping along the floor as he moved to stalk the office in fury is echoing in my head. I was beginning to think time had stood still until that noise had occured. The way he was looking at with me with such distate and displeasure told me all I needed to know. He knew. My best friend, my Alpha knew the secret I had been fighting so desperately to hide.
