The smile on my lips got wider at Adam’s blatant display of affection, even though the stares from most of the pack members were anything but encouraging. Claire was looking at me like she wanted to take my head off my neck. I noticed though, that when our eyes met, she smirked at me. The bad feeling in my guts had intensified. I had a feeling that whatever was making her this devious had to do with the little girl that had called me outside and the distraction the latter had talked about.
