Bradley lifted his glass up as he spoke, “As long as you guys follow me around, I’ll ensure that you all will get to live a good life. However, we’ll have to do things a little differently this time.” The 20 or more men immediately shifted their attention toward him once they heard this. “Boss, we’ll do whatever you say as long as we get to live the good life,” they all said with their wine glasses lifted up.
“My method of hustling is a little different from others. I’ll bring you guys to the plantations in Jackson Village,” Bradley spoke. Everyone else exchanged nervous glances once they heard this; they couldn’t tell if Bradley was being serious, or if he was just trying to crack a joke. After all, there were only a few individuals in the whole of Riverdale—including these men’s families—who could actually gain significant wealth from farming. Even the waiters and waitresses who stood around began to cover their mouths as they sneered after hearing what Bradley had to say. This bunch of gangsters must’ve been fooled by this farmer; I can’t help but laugh as I look at the expressions on their faces, one of them thought.
