Chapter 169 16: Rewrite The Stars

Edward’s eyes snapped open suddenly while in bed, and he dragged in a sharp breath. Xavier turned to look at him. Edward came into his cabin to talk him into getting sleep and after four hours, he talked himself to sleep instead while Xavier sat and watch. Yes, Xavier needed the sleep, but he couldn’t bring himself to. After almost losing Mia last week, his sleep has left him completely. His heart went to her, thinking about how she was faring, and he didn’t want to slumber even for a moment. He had asked Edward to check up on her a few days ago and the results were much more positive than before. That was what he needed to hear. Still, he wanted to remain awake.
