I wondered at that moment if she meant her character or her personally that made this battle all the more important. We had to take down the dragon and quickly. I felt like that was unlikely to happen. It was Elara and her clerics that stepped up to the plate. They began chanting a spell together and by the time the dragon had banked and was ready to burn us to a crisp with its breath weapon the spell hit it. She tumbled out of the sky and struck the ground not ten feet from me. The spell had forced the dragon into a humanoid form. That didn't make her any less lethal just manageable. Jasmine saved me from certain death. She used her knowledge of the shadow magic and cast a sphere of darkness. It encompassed the dragon and me in an instant. While her stamina was off the charts a critical back stab could reduce her stamina and control enough to tip the balance. One of the perks of being a chaos champion is the ability to see in the dark. The dragon still had a whole array of other senses to alert her to my position. So I had to move quickly and decisively if I was to surprise the bitch. I moved in a slow spiral towards her but she was already tracking me. To my surprise Jasmine conjured shadow images of me and that did throw off the dragon. She was looking all around her now as she was slowly surrounded.
"You can't face me one on one and live," the dragon roared. "I am too much for an army how do you expect to live."
