I didn't hear all of what transpired but it definitely escalated. I held back my giggle as I continued tracking whatever was responsible for the athlete's attack. The trail became clearer as I neared a laundry chute. Did they still use these things? I glanced around before opening the chute. I peered down and the path was bright and strong. I sniffed the air and wrinkled my nose at the powerful scent of sulfur. Damn it that was my first strong clue that something demonic was at work. I made my way to the service elevator and changed my form to accommodate the situation. I stepped out on the ground floor in a hotel uniform and got a glimpse of the beastie.
"Aw crap it's a barghest," I said as I entered the kitchen.
