My mom and sisters were watching from the living room and when I picked him up and swung him around they knew it was great news. Kenneth shook my hand and we planned on my signing the papers on the upcoming Thursday.
I walked in and informed them of the change in my affairs and there were whoops and hollers of joy. I sat down and pondered what I was going to do with my newfound wealth. I had to be smart about it and not go crazy about my spending. I already decided to put a majority in the bank to draw interest and live off of that if I could. Then I looked up and saw the sadness on my mom's and sisters' faces. They knew I would be moving out soon and things were going to change. I was almost twenty two and needed time by myself, my own space. I was torn between buying a house or having one built to spec. If I just bought a house I could be gone in a matter of a month or two. But if I built I would need a place to stay until it was finished.
