A storm began to brew as soon as Evie left. Like the storm, Lucian's mood was just as turbulent. He knew that he was not perfect, so it would be impossible for him to perfectly smooth things with Evie when it came to his relationships. Freya allowed him to go after Evie and comfort her as best as he could, but he was unable to since he was also part of the whole drama. However, Lucian was still conscious enough to avoid anywhere that Evie could show up. He wanted to minimize his interaction with her. He wanted to still be friends with her, but he wanted to give her space and he knew that when she calmed down, she would definitely reach out to him. Besides, since this was out of his control, he decided not to focus too much energy on it. In all honesty, he was actually quite happy recently because his wife and daughter were with him. So, he finally had time to take his condition seriously. He called Alexander about his progress on making a cure and he was told that Alexander had already arrived at his master's hometown. He also asked the locals around and made some progress on the cure. He knew that it would not be difficult to synthesize a cure once he figured out how the poison was made. Alexander said, "Soon. Just wait for me in Edofield and I'll get the cure straight to you once it's done. You shouldn't have to wait too long now. So, just hang tight, Lucian!"
