“What did you say?” Luciano asked. Wanting to believe that he missed what she had said. Everything was happening so fast. One minute he was very happy to have gotten one of the hardest possessions to acquire and the next minute he was having a conversation that he would rather not have with his secretary in the lobby of the venue of the meeting. This was not how he envisioned the rest of today to go. All he had wanted to do immediately after he had signed the deal and paid the money for the property was to have a nice evening after dropping Danielle off. He had also thought of compensating her for dragging her out of the house on her day off after he had promised her that it would not happen again. he couldn’t bring anyone else with him as he didn’t want to fumble his chances of getting the property when one of his biggest rivals had also been interested in getting the property. The worst part is that he hadn’t even been aware of any of it until he got the call from the Goshin castle team this morning and them saying if he wanted the property then he should report to the meeting or else they would sell it to his opponent. Luciano had been so close to cussing at the man but he wanted the property and had been even more determined to get it when he found out his rival was trying to get it by all means. That’s why he called Danielle. She was like his lucky charm. All the deals she has gone with him for, since she came back to work for him, he got every one of them.
