Once she secured the dresses, Roselle swiftly descended the staircase, collected the food tray from Dave, and then hurried back up to Merline's room. That was quite the workout. If the coming days were going to involve this much running up and down, she was certain to shed some pounds, not that she needed to. She handed over the dresses and the food to Merline, and passed on Dave's message about his respect for her decision and his intention to give her the space she required. Once that was accomplished, she made her way back down to meet Dave. "What's the matter, bro?" She greeted her brother, who was propped against the wall, sulking like a toddler. Dave was endearing, like a little cherub.
