She ran to her room with tears in her eyes. Standing in front of the mirror in the bathroom, she cried, touching her neck. She took some soap and rubbed it on her neck before applying water, but no matter what she did, it didn't wipe off. Once again, being nice has brought her into trouble. She should have just left him.
