Chapter 24 Poisoned

She hurried into the house in the hopes that luck was on her side and that her time didn't run out. Entering the house, she saw him in the same spot she left him. All his attention was on his phone; he didn't even look at her, despite knowing she was already standing in front of him. "He's not even worried?" She thought, but didn't say a word or stress herself to think about it. She dropped the plant, covered with a small white cloth, on the table. "Here it is. I got the plant just as you wanted." She said, still looking at him as he kept scrolling through his phone without looking at her or the flower on the table.
