Bernice sat on the little wooden table in the small, new apartment staring out of the window at the quiet town below. The street was still; morning's hum as quiet as her thoughts. “How did it all go wrong?” How did I let my guard down? she'd left it all behind, and somehow that problem found its way to where she was,miles away from Rafael, Ethan, and Olivia.
