Chapter 7

Hazel woke up the next morning with a mix of emotions, her expression a blend of sadness and determination. Her head pounded from the excessive crying she had done the night before, and her eyes felt puffy and tired. She slowly got out of bed and headed to the bathroom, her movements sluggish. As she began her morning routine, she took a toothpaste and put it on her toothbrush, carefully squeezing out the right amount. She then started brushing her teeth, her movements gentle and methodical. She brushed her teeth in circular motions, making sure to cover all surfaces, and then spit out the toothpaste, feeling the refreshing taste of mint in her mouth.
