Chapter 21 The Elevator Job

I slept on the foldable bed while Jessie slept on the queen-size bed for the next few days. This maintained the peace between us, and as for Lynette, I did not care about her because she never stopped ignoring me. I also found out how Jessie found me at the motel. It turned out that she had used her connections with the police out of rage that day, so she was able to locate me through the registration system of the entire city's hotels. For the coming days, I spent time in the hospital with Hansel during the day, then came back to sleep at night. Not only did I invest all my money into Hansel, but also all my energy.
