Ava's POV "What's going on in your mind？"Sam said as he snaps his finger "I thought you were asleep," I said and he smiled "I was, but it's morning already" "Oh, it's morning. Everyone, follow me to the storage room" I chuckled and everyone obeyed. We reached the storage room and everyone gasped when they sighted the big container filled with water. "This would be our ocean for now," I said and they hailed happily. They pulled off their clothing and dashed into the water. I strode to Lucas's room and sighted Sam who was staring at Lucas. "Hello, dear. What are you doing here？" I asked "I came to check up on Lucas" He replied and I walked towards Lucas. I placed my palm on his forehead and I removed it instantly. I removed a thermometer from the drawer and placed it in his mouth. His body temperature was very hot. "Lucas, wake up," I said as I poured water in the jar on my hand and sprinkled it on his face "Why didn't you do what the big man said？" Sam questioned as he kept staring at Lucas "I can't leave everyone" "That is the only cure and the way to save everyone from calamity. I am sure Lucas will get well immediately you step into that villa and would be able to care for everyone" Sam whispered "That's true," I said to myself and became curious "How did you know？" I said "How did I know？" Sam asked and walked away "I will do this for you, Lucas," I said and had my bath before walking out of the apartment "Your majesty, where are you going to？" Jane asked as she glanced sideways "I want to go fishing" I lied as I tried to walk away until I felt an arm wrapped around mine "We can go fishing together, your majesty," She said and I unwrapped my arm "No, thanks. Stay with others, the three-eyed man is still out there" Jane nods and walked into the apartment. I ignited the car's engine and drove to Donald's villa. Every footstep I took closer to the villa reminds me of the words Don and Dyrus said to me. I came to this villa for my people and Lucas. I opened the door and bumped into a wall. I moved backward and came in gaze with green eyes "Sister-in-law, are you here to check up on me？"Dyrus asked "How are you feeling now？" I stammered "Sister-in-law my foot, you have the guts to place those filthy legs in this villa. Loser！" He folds his arm and frowned "Thanks for saving me, did you remember what happened after that monster pressed the red button？" I asked to verify if that scene was completely erased from his memory "Yeah, I remember. What are you going to do about it？" He said and I gasped. I shut the door behind and held his collar "Let's do this again, kiss me on the lips," I said and he flinched "What the heck, why would I kiss you？" He said and I released my hand from his collar "Are you shy？ We can do it in your room" I whispered "You must be crazy" He rasped and walked away. The woman that was supporting me as Don's wife walked towards me "I have been waiting for you, dear. Come in" She smiled and told me to go to Don's room "This is the only way he gets to love you and I need an heir" She beamed. "She is Don and Dyrus mother" I muttered The only reason she is nice to me is that she needs an heir, but that would be impossible. I would never let him lay his hand on me. She held my arm as we strode to Don's room. She flung the door open as her grip on my arm loosened and I sighted Don on a dark-skinned lady. Pearls rolled down my chin as I remembered how Zach cheated on me. I used to love him until I found out he and Lisa's scheme "Mum, can you please get out？" Don rasped and I walked out of the room "Stop crying, everything will be alright," Mother-in-law said as she shut the door "I will be back," She said and walked away. I sat by the door and buried my head in between my legs as pearls rolled down instead of tears because I am a mermaid I felt a touch on my shoulder, I looked up and sighted Dyrus "What's wrong with you cunning fox？" "Have you ever been cheated on？" I sniffled "Oh, it's Don. You have to get used to that" He said and stretched a folded handkerchief to me. I grabbed it and used it to wipe the mucus that fell on my lips. "Thats is disgusting. Why did you let it drop on your lips." Dyrus said as he flinched. "I want to discuss something with you in your room" I stood up. "Alright," he said as he curled his lips. I strode to his room with the thought of how to kiss him and erase his memory about how he saw me turn into a mermaid. Dyrus is a jinn and I must hide the fact that I am a mermaid. I don't want my relationship with these jinns to leak to my people. "What do you want to say？"Dyrus asked as he snaps his finger. "How is your lover？ Did you rescue his life？ The guy was being overprotective" he continued as he waggle eyebrows. "Oh, you mean Max. He's not my lover, he was my shield..." I paused as I was about to expose my identity. "He is a close friend" I continued. "What else did you remember？"I asked as I moved closer to him. "Everything, I think," he said as he moved backward and I continued to move closer until his back hit the wall. I moved closer to him and brushed my lips over his trying to erase his memory. He tried to push me away then I grabbed his arms and push them against the wall. Mermaids are very strong and this resists Dyrus from pushing me away. "Dyrus do you have an idea of where that weirdo is？" a voice echoed beside the door. I turned around and sighted Don. Dyrus pushed me and sat on the bed breathing heavily. "What on earth is going on here？" Don gasped with a sour expression. "It's not what you think, brother," Dyrus yelled as he walked towards Don. Don walked away and Dyrus walked after him and shut the d behind him. "Damn！ I was unable to erase his memory" I yelled as I threw my fist against the wall. I strode out of Dyrus's room and sighted Don and Dyrus arguing. Why is Don acting like he is interested in me？ He had a fling with that dark-skinned woman and I did nothing about it. What the hell is wrong with him？ I only kissed his twin brother. What if Don finds out Dyrus raped me before we got married？ Don slapped Dyrus's face which made a tan-skinned man interfere. "That's enough！ What is this drama about？ "The man yelled as he walked towards us. "I can't believe you raised your hand at me because of that filthy thing you call your wife. If you love her, you would not spend your nuptial night with a harlot." Dyrus rasped as he placed his hand on his cheek. "Dad, I saw Don flirting with my newly married bride." Don rasped. I can't believe that the old man is his father. "Dyrus, don't you know it's a taboo in our family？ There are ladies out there but you decided to flirt with your sister-in-law. You are a disgrace" The old man said in a husky voice. The old man faced me "You..." he stammers as I walked out of the house. I need to get rid of my anger in a nice place then I sighted a coffee shop nearby. I walked in and a female in a black hoodie bumped into me. "Sorry" I cooed. She walked through the wall leading to the three-eyed monster industry. I became curious and sneaked into the industry. The woman in the hoodie strode to the laboratory and started stealing some liquid substances. "Hey" A voice rasped as I flinched and hid beside a wall. It was the three-eyed monster, he walked towards the female. "Hey friend, long time no see." The female said as she unzipped her hoodie. "Sage, If not you have poisonous skin I would have hugged you."The three-eyed monsters giggled as he moved closer to her. "Yeah, I know, and thanks for the compliment." She cooed. "Why are you stealing from my industry？ You should have asked for it." "Oh my gosh, I can't believe this. I had no idea this was yours. I need it for my experiment" She giggled as she grabbed more. "How about you join my team and we take down Ava and her troops？" "Hmm... that sounds like a plan. You would avenge your wife's death but what is my benefit？" "You get a lot of chemicals for free and you would have the chance to use your superpowers." The three-eyed monsters chuckled. "Did you see Lisa？ I need to explain some things to her" "Oh, that white-skinned lady. I hypnotized her to fall in the river nearby, she nearly shot me." Sage heaved a sigh. "What？ I have warned you to stop hypnotizing people. Lisa is very special to me, what if she drowns？"The three-eyed monsters yelled. "Oh, I think someone is in love" I turned around when I felt a touch on my shoulder. I sighted a weird plant in a jar filled with water clapping its mouth on my shoulder. I flinched and pushed the plant which made the jar tumble and clattered on the floor. I peeped and sighted the three-eyed monster placed his hands on his lips as he walks in my direction. I shook my fist ready to punch him in the face. A hand pulled me to a corner and I hit my fist on his face. He held my arms and I had a better view it was Dyrus. "Ouch, I was only trying to help you" Dyrus whispered. "Hush" I placed my hands on my lips and peeped. "What was that？" Sage asked the three-eyed monster. "Nevermind. Let me go save Lisa." The three-eyed monsters said as he walked out. "What are you doing here？ You almost got killed" Dyrus whispered and held my shoulders tightly. "Do you think I am weak？ I can take care of them."I said and sighted Sage walk out of the industry then I came out of my hiding spot. "Yes, you are just human. You are a weakling and I am a powerful Jinn." Dyrus boasts as he chins up. This means Dyrus did not remember me as a mermaid but a random lady that became his sister-in-law overnight. "Yeah, that's right" I agreed to try to hide my smile. "I wish I can just go after that monster and kill him," Dyrus said as he moved closer to a tank filled with water. "That monster can't be killed by anyone except the supreme leader of all-powerful beings can defeat him" "Arrgh" Dyrus yelled as he placed his hand on his head and fell on his knees. "Dyrus，what is going on？"
