Ava's POV I placed Dyrus arm on my shoulder and strode to a car with a name Dyrus the king fashioned all over the car. "This should be Dyrus car. I saw a picture of him and some famous stripers with this car on instagram." I said to myself as I opened the car door and flunged Dyrus in the car. "Dyrus, wake up"I said as I sprinkled water I bought in the coffee shop on his face with my hands. He opened his eyes slowly "What happened？" Dyrus asked in a weak tone. "You fainted for the past four hours. What is wrong with you？ Thank Goddness I hid you in a box or else Sage and that monster would have captured us." I explained and Dyrus kept on placing his hand on his head as he winced. "Ava, drive me home please.I don't why I am not confortable in this environment. I keep on getting flashes like I once saved a mermaid and we kissed." Dyrus said as he stare into space. "That's bad, we need to quickly move away from this weird place." I said as I looked down in grief for taking away his memory but I did it for my people. I got in the car and ignited the car's engine. "Why are you driving like that？ That bicycle just ran past us"Dyrus complained as a bicycle passed by and he looks like he is getting better. "Hello！ I don't want to die now, slow and steady wins the race"I said as I drove calmly. "Come on, we are just three feets away from the coffee shop, do you live with snails？" he scoffed which made me angry. "I am trying my best. You can also drive and stop bossing around" I blurted out. "Lets swap places"Dyrus ordered. "What？ we can't just swap places in a moving car. I am driving, boy." "Do you refer to me as boy？ I am a man"He boasts and pulled me to the passenger seat and we swapped places. "Dyrus, drive calmly." I yelled as Dyrus almost jammed a red vehicle with full spead. "I can't hear you"He yelled as he turned on a rock music and my ear almost got blocked. I held the seatbelt trying to put it on for safety as the car continued speeding. "Dyrus, stop the car！"I yelled and a smile appeared on his face. "Boom！we are back to our weird home " He stopped the car and faced me. "Why were you trying to kiss me ？ Anytime I remember that its reminds me of the flashes about that mermaid." Dyrus said and had eye contacts with me. "Mermaids does not exist" I rasped trying to avoid eye contact with him. "Mermaids do exist. There was a time my father brings mermaids home for sacrifice and they are always beautiful. Just confess you love my hairstyle. Ladies are crazily in love with me." "Yes, you are right." I said and got out of the car. "What's with the flushed face？Don't worry crazy sister-in-law, Don is not mad at you" He said as he walked towards me and inserted is fingers in mine. "I am worried about my brother Lucas. " "I thought he was a lover" Dyrus chuckled. "What's going on here？" A voice echoed as I turned around and sighed Don who had throbbing veins in his neck. "I saved Ava from some bad guys today" Dyrus said. Don walked towards us with a grin on his face as he grabbed my hand fiercely and Dyrud let go of me. Don dragged me inside his room and locked the door behind him. "Where were you？ In a motel with my twin brother？" He pushed me at a wall and gnashed his teeth. "I went to a coffee shop , some guys attacked me and Dyrus saved me." I said trying to control my anger. "Really？ Why were you guys holding hands？" he yelled as he hits his fist against the wall which made it break "Imagine my fist landed on you, you would be bed ridden now."he rasped with his bare teeth. Don pushed me on the bed and tried to rip off my outfit then I slapped him across the face. "I was silent because I thought you are hurt not because I am weak like those ladies you used" I yelled as I pushed him with my legs and got up on my feet. "How dare you？You are my wife and I have the right to do whatever I want with you." He ordered. "Whatever" I balled my fist and tried to walk away. "Come back here"Don ordered as he grabbed my hair. "Stop that！"I winced as I held my head. "Shut your mouth."He pushed me on the bed. I brought out a small knife from my pocket and point it at his neck. "Move back or else I will cut off your throat"I yelled as I moved to the door and dashed out of his room. "Thank Goodness！"I heaved a sigh and sighted a small boy like Sam who kept staring at me. "You are Ava，right？ I am Henry, your nephew."He said. "Yeah, I am your Aunt."I said and noticed his eyes changing colours. "Why are your eyes changing colours？"I asked as I knelt down to maintain eye contact with him. "Hmm...every jinn has super powers." He said as he avoids eye contact with me. "What about Dyrus and Don？"I whispered as I waggled my eye brows. "Dyrus is super attrative and irressible while Don is super agressive" he explained. "Ooh, that explains a lot"I giggled and he raised his eyebrows. "Hug me please" he said with a smirk on his face. "Alright"I stretched my hands to hug him. "Ava！"Dyrus called out as he walked towards me which interrupted I and Henrys conversation and Henry disappeared. "What is it？You don't have to yell my name "I said. "I had to since you are ignorant and sturbbon. We need to talk"He gestured and strode to his room and I followed. "What did Don say？How did he react？He looked really angry a while ago" He said as he paced around the room "It was horrible, he tried to force himself on me." I said as I shut the door behind me. "I will teach that rascal a lesson. "He rapsed as he balled his fist. "Acting like you care won't solve any problem. He is my husband and I want a peaceful family." "I am not acting ,I really care because you are a cunning fox and I need to find out about your plan." "Plan？I dont have one, I am just a regular girl" "Regular girl？ Why did you come back here after Don humilated you？ Why did you kiss me？ Are you trying to create a rift in my family？"He said pacing back and forth with his hand stroking his chin. I can't tell Dyrus about myself. He is a jinn, jinn and mermaids are sane enemies. I sat on his bed and crossed my legs. "My intentions are as pure as a portrait, I mean no harm to your family. After everything is better I promise to leave your family and....." I pursed my lips as I noticed Dyrus giving me a confusing look. "I don't understand a thing you just said, I know you are planning something cunning." He maintains eye contact with me. "Time will tell it, time will！" A noise emerged from my pocket and I slid it out, it is a call from Lucas. "Excuse me"I said excitedly and dashed out of his room. "Hello" I answered the call. "Ava, why did you leave me alone？ I heard you got married to a rich guy and I mean nothing to you." He sobs. I got shocked, how did this information leak to Lucas？ My heart raced as my hands begin to shake as I held the phone with both hands. "Wh.. who told y..you this？"I stammered. "Jane told me everything. She also said you are happy with your new family and I am useless to you. Congratulations sister, I also don't want you with me." he sobs and ends the call. I shivered as I held the wall and the phone landed on the floor. "Let me guess, your lover broke up with you" he scoffed. "What's with the flushed face？ you are a married woman and you do not need him."he continued. "I need my brother, he is my only family. I have to go home" I sobed and ran out of the house. "Ava, wait"Dyrus voice echoed behind me as I ran to a car and drove to my apartment. I strode to my apartment and the doors were opened. "Hello, Lucas！ Sam！Jane！" My voice echoed as I searched my apartment. "Where are they？"I whispered to myself and met a note on Lucas's bed. "Hi Ava, I and the mermaids decided go to the ocean when we found out about your marriage to a jinn. We don't need a leader who will lead us to our death. Don't think of searching for us, enjoy in your in laws home. By Jane" I read out as tears rolled down my chin.
