Chapter 1 His First Love Woke Up
After they had a passionate and fulfilling encounter, the sound of rushing water could be heard from the bathroom.
Nina Carter's cheeks were slightly blushed, with a shimmering light in her eyes. It was as if she was still immersed in the passion and tenderness of Zachary Malone and unable to extricate herself. The fragrance in the room lingered for a long time.
After resting for a while, she got up from the bed with an aching body. She picked up the intertwined clothes on the floor, and her cheeks blushed involuntarily again.
Even though they had countless intimate contacts, Nina still blushed whenever they do it, and her heart raced each time.
Her body was sore and painful, but she was happy.
At least when they were in bed, Zachary loved her.
Nina put on her nightgown, opened the window, and changed the sheets and bedding on the bed.
Zachary had cleanliness habits. She would always change the sheets and bedding after they were done.
After doing all this, he also finished showering and came out. His handsome face was even more distinct.
He had an extremely good appearance, a great figure, and was considerate and gentle, unlike those self-righteous, overbearing CEOs.
Nina was in the mind to take a shower too, as her body was covered with his scent.
"Nina, let's get a divorce." The man looked at her blushing face. She was pure, like a blank sheet of paper that he had tainted.
"What did you say? Divorce?" Nina thought she heard it wrong as she stared at him blankly, her face pale.
"Yes. Divorce," Zachary repeated.
"Is it because of Sophie?" Nina stared at him absentmindedly.
Zachary remained silent.
After a long while, Nina nodded slowly. "Okay."
She then turned and walked into the bathroom. Her eyes were moist.
Today was her birthday. She had gone to the market early in the morning to buy groceries, started preparing at noon, and cooked a table full of dishes in the evening while waiting for Zachary to come back.
She had waited for him until midnight, but he did not return. Instead, she received a photo from Zachary's first love, Sophie Shaw.
In the photo, Sophie was leaning against him while smiling sweetly.
Sophie had awakened, and it was time for Nina to step aside.
Nina took a quick shower in the bathroom. The water from the shower head washed over her face and was mixed with tears.
Although she had mentally prepared herself, she couldn't help but feel heartbroken.
She had been married to Zachary for two years, and he had showered her with love and affection. She had once thought that he truly loved her, but it was all a facade.
For the past two years, she had felt like she was living in paradise, but suddenly, it was all gone...
Nina was so upset that she didn't know how to breathe.
"Nina, don't shower for too long. It will dehydrate your skin." Zachary knocked on the bathroom door.
"Okay."
She turned off the shower, put on her pajamas, and came out.
Zachary had already changed his clothes and was about to leave. In his suit, he seemed unapproachable.
Even though he was standing right in front of her, she felt like he was so distant.
They were never meant to be in the same world.
"It's so late. Where are you going?"
"Sophie needs me now. You go to sleep first. I probably won't be back tonight."
"Mm."
Zachary left, leaving the spacious bedroom empty.
Nina's body was in pain, and her heart ached too. She lay on the bed and was unable to fall asleep for a long time.
When she finally drifted off, it was almost dawn.
Her biological clock woke her up at 6 a.m. Her head was pounding, and her body felt as if it had been crushed.
She couldn't sleep any longer. She had to go to the pharmacy immediately.
Zachary didn't use protection last night, and they were on the brink of divorce, so she couldn't afford any mishaps.
Nina got dressed and went downstairs, where she saw the maids rearranging some items that women used.
Is there a visitor coming to the house?
