Chapter 8 Dead End
Justina's tense nerves finally broke under the pressure of internal and external troubles.
Her emotions were breaking down step by step.
Jill reached out to grab her again. "Come on, pretty. If you make me satisfied, I promise not to press you to pay back the money."
At this moment, a pair of scissors flew over suddenly and pierced Jill's palm.
Jill howled like a wounded animal.
"Son of b*tch! Who did it!"
"Me!"
Austin knocked down the two men in black behind Justina and protected her behind him.
He stared at Jill like a ravenous wolf. "Be smart and get lost, or I will pierce your other hand!"
Seeing that he had lost two helpers, Jill gave the trash talk while stepping back.
"Wait and see. I will come tonight to pull down your company."
"F*ck. You spoiled it for me. You all are dead!"
Jill fled in embarrassment, but the people in the company surrounded Austin and Justina.
"Austin, you get us into trouble. You must pay for it."
"We're all screwed because of your impulse. If you don't pay us, we will kick your *ss!"
"Miss Bosson, please make it clear to Mr. Alexander. We have already resigned and it is none of our business!"
Justina despaired. She wished she could kill them all right now.
Her face was frosty. She shouted angrily, "You're not my employees anymore. Get away!"
"It's none of my business if you are dead or alive. Run for your lives!"
Austin grabbed another pair of scissors from the table and snapped, "Get lost, or don't blame me for sticking these scissors into your eyes."
Keith hated Austin so much and wanted to cut him into pieces. He shouted, "Austin, you'll see. I'll take you down to the ground one day!"
"This sh*t company is over. I'll take you to a new company. I promise the salary will be higher than here."
"Let's go!"
Keith waved. Everyone followed him and left.
After walking out of the company, Sharon turned around.
She said, "I'll give you two more days. When you become impoverished, we'll come back and kick you."
"I swear you'll be sorry for all of this."
Justina fell into despair when looking at the empty office.
"Lisa, come with me to the office. According to the contract, if I fire you, I need to pay you three more months' wages. After you get the money, go find another job."
To Justina's surprise, Lisa shook her head and rejected her.
"I don't want money, and I don't want to leave the company. I want to get over this with you."
"Miss Bosson, give me a second."
She rushed to her desk quickly and took out a card from her backpack. Then she ran back and put the card into Justina's hand.
"Miss Bosson, this is 20,000 dollars I saved in the past two years. Take it. You can return it to me when our company gets through a hard time."
Justina was touched, but she still put the card back into Lisa's hand.
"Lisa, my shortfall is not several grand, but a million! This money is not even enough to pay back the interest. You should keep it as saving for yourself."
"Keep in your mind that women don't need to be very capable. As long as you can support yourself and not be controlled by men, simple life will be the best."
"Justina... I really don't want the company to break down." Holding the card in her hand, Lisa said with tearful eyes.
Listening to Justina's words, Austin could tell that she was tired and gave up resistance.
Dwelvan's betrayal, her partner's deceit, and the threat of the bald man forced her no way out.
Justina went to the office. She took two wads of banknotes and gave them to Lisa. "This is the only cash left in the company. Take them all."
"Go. I wish you a bright future and a happy life in the future."
Justina walked to her office in a daze. Her former image of a strong woman no longer existed. She was just a woman who was driven to a dead end.
Lisa grabbed Austin's hand and shouted, "Austin, you must have a way, right? You are the only one who hasn't left. You must have a way to turn things around, right?"
Austin asked, "Why don't you leave when everyone else is gone? You can go to a better company to get a job."
Lisa shook her head and said, "I won't leave until I die. Miss Bosson took me in when I was in the most difficult times. She taught me how to be a secretary. I can't leave her at this time."
She grabbed Austin's hand and begged, "You must have a solution, right? Please save our company!"
"If you want some reward, how about I give you my first night?"
"Don't worry. I never had a boyfriend. I'm still a virgin."
Austin gave a glance at her curvy figure and her delicate face. He said, "Wait here."
Seeing Austin walking towards Justina's office, Lisa wanted him to succeed but was afraid of it at the same time.
If he really saved the company, she would give her first night to Austin.
In the office, Justina stood in front of the glass window and sobbed softly. Her expression was sometimes frightened and sometimes stern.
"Dwelvan. You b*stard. We are already engaged. Why can't you wait for two months?"
"So you betray me just because I don't sleep with you? Why do you use such a dirty trick to insult me?"
"And the other two assh*les, Andrew and Jill. You collided to frame me. I swear you'll be sorry for it. Even if my company breaks down, I will come after you at all costs."
"I'm too stupid. I was fooled by the three j*nk at the same time."
However, Justina felt a strong sense of powerlessness when she thought of the one million shortfalls and the ten times compensation for project suspension and breach of contract.
"What to do? What should I do?"
