Chapter 12 The Girl Who Robbed the Apartment
In the office, Lisa walked up to Justina worriedly and asked, "Miss Bosson, what should we do? They are all gone. There is no one to complete the work."
"If we don't have enough people to do the work, our project will be delayed. We'll still have to pay five times the compensation."
She was Justina's secretary, and she understood the huge losses brought about by the breach of the contract might remove their company from the decoration industry.
Justina said with a cold face, "Post the recruitment information immediately. Make sure the salary is 20% higher than the market price. I don't believe we can't recruit people."
"And contact those recruitment websites. Tell them as long as they can help us find suitable talents, we will pay them 20% more than the normal commission."
"Get it. I'll do it now."
Lisa immediately went to work on the recruitment while Justina meditated in the office.
"It's not because of Austin that all of them left collectively. He is not powerful enough yet."
"It also can't be Jill's verbal threats. More than half of them have families. They won't give up this job with a considerable salary so easily."
"Then there is only one possibility. Someone promised them in advance so that they would have a new job as soon as they left here."
Justina had a sudden enlightenment and her eyes lit up.
"But who won over them? Is it Dwelvan, Jill, or Andrew?"
Justina was obsessed with the question. She repeatedly deliberated on the possibility of these people.
In the end, she showed a triumphant smile. "You idiots. Do you think that he'll give you a good job after using you?"
"Wait and see, you will come back and beg me one day."
The engineering decoration industry was a highly professional job. The two receptionists might be able to find a job for transition, but it was hard for other people who had families to feed.
She was a smart woman. After she figured it all out, she felt she was certain to win.
After Austin left the company, he began to think about his accommodation.
The house under his name had been sold a long time ago, and his mother-in-law would definitely not be able to let him live there. Now he had to buy a new house or rent a house temporarily.
The unlock of 400 million in his Centurion Card was relatively slow. It only unlocked 400,000 per week. So he couldn't rely on the card now.
After thinking for a while, Austin decided to rent an apartment temporarily. At least he couldn't sleep on the street tonight.
In the afternoon, at a place less than one kilometer away from Mazsun Company, Austin decided to rent a four-bedroom apartment in Creek Homes.
It was on the 22nd floor, which was oriented in a north-south direction. Its European-style and simple decoration made it spacious and bright.
The most important thing was that it was all equipped. Homeless people like Austin could live in without buying anything.
The rent was 1,000 a month, and it cost 5,000 to pay two months' deposit and a quarter's rent. But the two million unlocked was all transferred to Justina. He didn't even have a hundred!
The realtor looked at Austin standing there and frowning in a daze. She might have guessed what Austin was worried about.
She reminded him, "Sir, do you want to rent this apartment?"
Austin said in embarrassment, "Uh... Can you low down the deposit? I don't have enough money with me."
The realtor seemed to realize something. She said casually, "I'm sorry, sir. This is a rule set by the renter who entrusted us to rent out. We cannot change it at will."
The transaction amount was related to her commission. How could she be willing to low down the deposit?
Austin didn't give up. He asked boldly, "Can you tell me the renter's number? I can negotiate with him personally."
The realtor looked at him as if she was looking at an idiot. "I'm afraid I can't, sir. The owner's phone number is confidential and cannot be disclosed."
"It's fine if you don't want it. Other customers are waiting to rent it."
She was about to use this verbal trick to urge Austin, but she didn't expect a woman really come over.
The woman noticed the information on the wall at a glance. She said coldly, "I want to rent this one. How much is it?"
Austin immediately became unhappy when he heard the voice. "D*mn. Do you understand first come, first served?"
"We're not done here. Why did you interrupt us?"
She was just a young girl, about 5.2 feet, but Austin couldn't help doubting in his mind. "Why does this girl have a murderous look?"
When the realtor saw that someone wanted to rent, she was afraid that Austin would ruin her business.
"I'm sorry, sir. Since you can't rent this house, I can only rent it to this lady."
Austin said angrily, "Who said I have no money? I will ask my friends to transfer the money now."
But when he took out his phone, he ran into a problem. No one could lend money to him.
Five thousand was not a small amount. His delivery colleagues couldn't afford it. Even if they could, they probably wouldn't trust him.
The realtor's voice was full of sarcasm. "Sir, if you make trouble again, I will call the guards to drive you out."
On the other side, the girl had already taken out her credit card.
"Rent it to me. I'll pay a year's rent."
