Chapter 7 Fix My Pipe

Some say that the Seelye family was full of heroes and martyrs! This statement was absolutely without exaggeration. Whether the Seelye family's enemies or friends, all believed it without doubt. Everyone must show some respect for the Seelye family. “Grandpa, I know what you meant by having me promise not to return to Jexburgh for three years. You don't want me to follow the same path you took, not wanting me to meet the same tragic end. You think my ambition is too great and want me to use three years to mellow down.” Lucius looked at Philip's photo and muttered to himself, “I don't have your level of awareness. I'm just a common man. As a common man, I must take revenge for every grievance. I will uphold the Seelye family and demand justice for the blood debts of the Seelye family! A year ago, they couldn't finish me off, so what's there to fear two years from now?” Lucius let out a deep breath. Just as he was settling his thoughts and preparing to sleep, suddenly, the old, beat-up phone he had bought for a hundred from a phone repair shop began ringing on the bedside table. “Grandpa, your grandson is calling you...” The phone's loud and intoxicating ringtone made him instantly alert. Clearing his throat, Lucius answered the phone, speaking in a clear, formal tone: “Hello, this is the all-rounder handyman hotline. How may I assist you?” Every time he said this, Lucius felt like he was about to add, “full package eight hundred, half package three hundred and fifty.” “The water pipe burst at home. Can you fix it?” Hearing this pleasant, almost enticing voice, Lucius was startled. D*mn, it is a cute little lady. However, he felt like this voice sounded somewhat familiar, as though he'd heard it before. After thinking for a while, he couldn't place it. After hanging up, Lucius hurried out. Both he and Phoebe were close to starving. How else could they survive without earning some extra money? Smirane Residences was a mid-range neighborhood in Hepham. Anyone who could afford to buy a house here was at least somewhat affluent. As Lucius entered the neighborhood, he couldn't help but feel a sense of ease. He enjoyed dealing with rich people. It was no pressure at all to con them. When he arrived at the designated floor and knocked on the door, the person who appeared before him was a stunningly beautiful woman. Her features were exquisite, her skin fair and smooth, her large almond-shaped eyes sparkling like autumn water. Her long eyelashes fluttered like two fans, captivating all who gazed at them. She had the classic oval face, arched brows, and wavy wine-red hair casually tied up behind her head, revealing a smooth, full forehead. Her slender neck led down to a graceful, curvaceous figure, especially under the coverage of her silk nightgown, which barely concealed her black bra. It was a sight that would stir anyone's blood. This was an absolute beauty, the kind that could easily lead one astray. When Lucius saw her face, there was no thought of lust in his mind. Instead, his eyes widened in surprise. “You?” The woman glanced at him sideways, her lips curling into a smug, mocking smile. “What? Surprised to see me? Why can't it be me?” Lucius let out a bitter laugh. No wonder the voice sounded familiar—it was the unlucky woman he'd bumped into this afternoon, the one caught in a scam. He looked her up and down and said, “Who you are isn't important. What matters is that you've got money. Time is precious, so let's get to the bed and make the most of it.” At his inappropriate words, Renee Quixley's cheeks immediately flushed with embarrassment. She glared at Lucius and said, “Can you talk nicely?” Lucius realized his mistake and laughed awkwardly. “Misunderstanding, misunderstanding. Haha, beautiful lady, though my words are crude, there's no malice in them. You can ask around—Lucius is known for providing thorough service and excellent results. Afterward, you'll be left feeling comfortable and full of praise.” The more he rambled on, the more ridiculous it sounded, making Renee blush even more. Furious, she shot him a glare and said, “Stop talking nonsense. If you say one more shameless word, I'll kick you out right now!” Lucius gave an embarrassed smile, grabbed his toolbox, and headed to the bathroom. But inside, he was secretly laughing. This girl thinks she can outwit me? She's still too young; I'll take care of her in no time. Upon entering the bathroom, Lucius was dumbfounded. What the h*ll? It isn't just a burst pipe. It looks like the entire bathroom has been torn apart! The pipe had at least three or four cracks, all spraying water everywhere. The toilet had been smashed with a blunt object, and the sink had a huge hole in it. Water was spraying everywhere, almost flooding into the living room. What left Lucius speechless, and somewhat enraged, was that there were several clothes hangers in the bathroom, all with women's intimate garments—lacey, semi-transparent bras and panties, as well as ultra-thin flesh-colored and black stockings. The water-soaked items added an extra layer of temptation.
