Chapter 27 Birthday Party

The next evening, Augustus brought me to the venue of the birthday party. That was my first time attending an event of this nature, so I was naturally nervous. Augustus sensed my emotions and gave my hand a reassuring pat in an attempt to calm my nerves. Before our arrival, I asked him about the party and found out that it was being hosted by the daughter of a property tycoon. I didn't bother remembering her name as Augustus told me it wasn't important who the host was. What mattered was the guests who attended the event.
