By the time I got up, Josephine had already switched off the ceiling lights. The only light source in the room was the weak rays of a small standing lamp. Josephine was playing a game on her phone intently. At that moment, she looked just like a small kid whose entire attention was on their favorite toy. I rubbed the sleep out of my eyes and shook myself awake.
“Huh? Why did you get up?” Josephine asked when she saw me stretching lazily out of the corner of her eye.
