I thought of asking Augustus why he dealt with Summer and Sonia that way. He could've done it normally, but instead, I had to deal with other people's suspicion and got hurt. Still, I didn't see him for the next few days. He didn't show up at MIX or at home. I couldn't help but recall his mutter after he kissed me that day. After that, he disappeared from my life entirely. I knew I was falling for him. I counted myself lucky for I was clear-headed enough not to fall into a depressing slump at how he was blowing hot and cold. If I had fallen in love with him, I knew I would be very hurt by his actions.
