Chapter 2 Expelled

Sebastian Marden. Son of the alpha and future Alpha of the pack. He was older than me, a strong boy, and even as a teenager, everyone listened to him. He was intelligent, respected, and loved. Of course, he was attractive and the dream of all the girls. But when it came to me... well, he acted as if I didn't exist. I saw him laughing at the jokes the others made about my body, and when I cleaned his room, he didn't even see me. In general... I was worse than nothing to him. Sometimes I tried to approach him, since he would be the future alpha... but he would push me away and distance himself from me as if I had a contagious disease. - I'm going to the village to buy something for the sauce you all like so much... and I'll be back soon, okay? - I said, and in minutes, I took my bike and left. No one used to go to the village, except for me, because the village belonged to humans. It was small, but I liked going there... they treated me better. And I thought that when Marina and Henry grew up... maybe I could settle in a village like that. I couldn't leave them alone yet. I never would. But when I returned to the pack... I saw that something bad was happening. "What's going on?" I asked anxiously, seeing smoke rising in the distance. I sped up, and when I threw my bike and started running, I saw men on a hill fleeing, transforming into wolves... but they weren't from Midnight. An attack? Around me, several houses were on fire and many people were running and screaming, it was hell. I ran to my home, terrified. "Marina! Henry!" I ran anxiously as I entered our already burning house. I pushed as hard as I could and covered my nose, crying when I saw them huddled and terrified. "Tati!" they shouted and threw themselves into my arms. I managed to get out, burning my arm on the way, and we ended up panting in the garden outside. They were safe and sound. No one cared about the orphans, my children. "Where was the human?" the alpha asked, standing near me, and I felt myself trembling with fear. "I... was in the forest and saw the smoke in the distance..." I said. "It was her! She brought them!" people around shouted. "I just went to buy something for the children..." I said, the sauce and my things already forgotten. Alpha Mauricio crouched down and grabbed my shirt tightly. "Some humans attacked us by surprise! Dirty humans! Did you know about this?" the alpha asked. "She brought us this bad luck!" others shouted. "Coincidentally, she wasn't here when the attack happened!" the others shouted. I realized that there were several houses on fire around me and the situation was critical. Many people must have died. It was unheard of for something like this to happen. "You let them in... didn't you? Answer, girl!" the alpha shouted at me. "They weren't humans! I saw them transform into wolves... over there on the hill..." I said, and the alpha hit me. I heard Marina and Henry crying, and I got up as best as I could. My cheek throbbed, I was no match for him. "Respect your alpha!" they shouted at me. "Of course she was going to defend her own!" "She brought them to ruin us!" others said. "What you're saying is very serious, girl... no other pack would do this... only humans," the alpha said. "But that's what I saw!" I said and received another blow. "You've put everyone in danger and you could bring more problems. Control yourself, human..." Sebastian said, looking at me with hatred. I saw that he was covered in soot and part of his skin was burned but healing. "I... just trying to prevent danger... for the pack..." I said. I don't know why I thought he would help me. I knew it wasn't my place, I was only a human and he was an alpha. And Sebastian was now shouting at me. "How dare you judge my father's judgment? He is a pure-blood alpha! In contrast, you are a human who can't even run, you wouldn't be able to defend yourself from anyone, you are a burden to us!" Sebastian shouted with fury and I could see the hatred and anger in his eyes as he said it. "She is a useless fatso!" "She is a liar!" the others shouted. "We will decide what to do with her..." the alpha said. But I already knew what would happen. I was practically in the dungeon for a couple of days until one day they dragged me out and threw me near the edge. "You are expelled... it was the alpha's decision," they told me. That same night they literally took my things out of the territory and burned them in front of me as I cried. "Take her out of here soon... and never let her come back," the alpha said and Sebastian obeyed. He took me by the arm and dragged me to the border. I saw my children desperate. "No... no, Tati is our sister!" they cried. "She is nothing to you! She is a traitor!... and just because you helped the children... we will let you live," the alpha said. "You are a burden... the pack will be better off without you. Go with your people... disgusting human... and don't come back... ever," Sebastian said with hatred. He was a teenager, almost a child. I stayed there crying, watching my children until they were taken away, they stretched out their hands as if they wanted me to take them... but now they would be far from me. We would no longer be a family. I got up as best I could, took my bike and rode to the town, and then... kept going to another. I pedaled as hard as my legs could. That day everything changed. My heart weighed heavy with pain... now I was a girl alone, without a family. A foolish, lying girl who was good for nothing, according to them. And I thought I would be far from the world of werewolves, until the past came back to me in the worst way.
