Chapter 7
Rhea knew omegas were not permitted to meet the gaze of Alpha and Beta. So as Beta Elijah guided her away from Flora and Caty, she fixated her gaze on the ground.
He raised his voice, causing her to flinch. "Which one is your room?"
"Over there, Beta." Rhea gestured towards the hallway leading to her room. When she began her job here, the maids' pavilion was all occupied. There was just a single small room that appeared to have served as a warehouse, which she now calls a bedroom.
Fortunately, Aunt Pansy assisted her in transforming the space into something better. She also has a mattress and a blanket now. Despite that, when the chill of the night crept in, it was unrelieved by any heaters or fireplaces.
“Where do you store your medicine? I'll help you treat your bruise."
Rhea noticed how Beta Elijah was making an effort to not comment on the disheveled condition of her bedroom.
There wasn't a lot of medicine stored there, yet she opened the drawer of the wooden nightstand to retrieve the ointment provided by the pack doctor who had treated the bruises on her cheeks.
Just as Elijah reached for the ointment, Rhea swiftly stopped him, "Thank you Beta, but I can apply it myself..."
"That one your cheeks, who did that to you?" He asked.
"It's nothing, it's almost healed after all."
Elijah just shrugged his shoulders. He settled onto the edge of her bed. As Rhea tended to the bruise where Flora and Caty kicked her, Elijah casually surveyed her room.
Rhea then settled into the seat beside him, maintaining the distance she deemed comfortable. She always thought the Beta was less wicked than Alpha Killian, but witnessing how he nearly snapped Caty's wrist, Rhea changed her mind.
"I have no idea this room was still in use. For a place to sleep, especially," he muttered. "Why aren't you asking for a better one?"
She had previously made that request, but the butler ignored her.
"It feels safe here at night since it's separated from the other rooms." Rhea said, "Um, Beta, I’m not quite sure how to express my gratitude to you. But thank you so much."
For saving her and defending her from those bullies it was the first time someone had done that.
Elijah turned to face her. "From now on you can call me Elijah, you understand?"
"But.." Rhea couldn't do that. If the Alpha's family find out she could be killed because she call the Beta with his name.
"Consider it request from a friend."
"But.... alright, E-elijah"
Silence enveloped them, Rhea mind drifted to when Elijah gripped Caty's wrist so hard it made her cry.
"I have no idea youre quite bold, darling, show more to me." He firmed his hold. "You just being prettier when you plead."
“Beta, please forgive me. I won't repeat that or do anything to upset you again. I'm not going to do that. I'm just a maid...."
Elijah released Caty's hand. "This is the last time i saw you did that again."
"I promise, Beta. We promise we will never hurt Rhea again."
Flora swiftly moved towards her friend, wrapped her arms around Caty's quivering form, and together they glided away after a graceful bow.
"It will just leave some marks," he said.
Rhea feel an unusual sensation being around him in her space like this. What if someone saw Elijah in her room? Particularly at the stroke of midnight?
"Would you prefer coffee or tea?" She offer. "There's hot water. And some bread..."
although she wasnt sure whether it was suitable for a Beta. She strolled over to the tremos on the table.
“It’s not necessary, Rhea.”
She spun around immediately, her face reflecting surprise.
Elijah let out a soft laugh. "Rhea, isn't it a pretty name?"
Rhea blinked, suddenly she feel like she couldn't speak. He found it amusing how she show her emotions with such clarity.
Elijah rose and made his way toward her, observed the omega intently. She stared at him, momentarily taken aback. "Rhea, do you know that you remind me of someone from my past?"

Killian cannot shake Rhea, that Omega maid, from his thoughts. Her face hovered above him, her voice resonating, and the most captivating was her scent.
His feelings ignited each time he laid eyes on her. She was merely an Omega, one among the countless who attended to him, just a lower class werewolves.
That night, in her worn dress, she effortlessly drew him in. He was on the verge of heading back to Rhea's cramped room but his mother want his company this evening.
Elizabeth, the former Luna of the Pureblood pack, stood with her daughter, Jasmine, alongside a young man who look remarkably pale.
"At last, you've arrived," his mother's voice welcomed Killian the moment he stepped into the room.
"You can go now, Jass." Elizabeth said.
“I’d like to stay as well. I've grown up. I also want to know what really happened," Jasmine complained. "I am the sister of Alpha. I take responsibility for what occurred here, please."
Killian arched an eyebrow. Elizabeth likely instructed her to go once he showed up. Killian approached his sister and gave her a quick kiss on the forehead.
It was hard for him to accept that his little sister had grown into a woman now. "Absolutely, you can stay, princess."
Jasmine flashed a smile while Elizabeth let out a soft sigh.
"Pansy said that this man is the only one who is close with that Omega girl. It's clear that he's the father of her baby; he's one of the gardeners at a Pack-house. Remember We’re planning a party to celebrate Catherine's recovery and birthday. This issue needs to be addressed right now" Elizabeth said to his son
Killian shot a quick look at the young man, who appeared to be no older than twenty, and undeniably human.
Once more, the recollection of that night with Rhea surfaces. She had never been with anyone before. Killian was her first.
“What’s your name?”
"N-Noah Alpha," his voice trembled, yet he held the courage to meet Killian's gaze.
"Did you ever sleep with Rhea?"
Noah blinked quickly, then looked away. He felt a wave of anxiety wash over him, leaving him silent and apprehensive.
Killian restrained his emotions, burying his hands deep in his trouser pockets. “Are you close with her?”
“Rhea?” Noah nodded decisively, a spark of determination in his eyes as he replied, "Yes. I am a friend of hers.
"Answer my first question."
Noah sealed his lips. Jasmine felt a wave of anxiety wash over her, fearing her brother might unleash his wrath on Noah, but the Alpha merely scoffed in irritation. He looked at his mother and said, "There’s no way this one is the one."
“I have sent your best men searching for insights. And im sure he is the one." Elizabeth crossed her arms, her eyes reflecting a clear sense of disdain as she gazed down at the human. "Humans have always been cowards. Perhaps he needs a little coercion."
Killian turned back to Noah. He knew what needed to be done, it wasn't a difficult matter to get him to speak the truth.
"All right. Maybe you're not the father of the baby. But she has committed a great offense for which punishment must be given."
Noah gasped, the shock was unconcealable. "Punishment?"
A small smirk appeared on the Alpha's lips. The bait had fallen into the trap. "There is Lycan's pack under my rule. That sweet Omega girl is going to be-"
"It was me! I did it! I impregnated her!
