*Isabel* His breath was warm against my ear as he whispered, “Don’t cause any trouble, Isabel.” He straightened, pulling away just enough to meet my eyes, but he didn’t break the intensity between us. “I mean it,” he said, his gaze hardening. The command in his voice was unmistakable. Without thinking, I closed the gap between us. My fingers moved slowly – deliberately – up the front of his shirt he wore. Black, just as his heart probably was. He didn’t move my fingers away from him, didn’t give me any warning. Our eyes collided and I could have sworn I could actually see the spark between us.
