Chapter 89

*Isabel* I lifted the tape, ducking beneath it and making my way to the rest of the kitchen volunteers, a large basket in my hand. We were at the pack center and Julia had closed off an area with a tape so no one would get past it. We were preparing lunch for the workers setting up the pack center for Dante and Bianca's mating ceremony. The expansive space was already bustling with activity. People were scurrying through, arranging chairs, stringing up lights and adjusting floral arrangements. The ceremony was still days away, but since it was going to be a major event, the council had decided that preparations begin as soon as possible.
