Isabel Louisa had already gotten started on lunch by the time I walked down the stairs from my late morning shower. I was craving something we hadn't had in a long time; brown rice, beef stew and roasted vegetables. Louisa was washing the beef when I entered the kitchen. I picked up an apron, tying it around my waist before putting my hair up in a messy bun. I walked into the living room to check up on Estelle before stalking back to the kitchen. She was still wide awake, playing with her teething.
