*Dante* Their pack had been under a brutal attack that had left Damon seriously wounded, just around the time Stella had been heavily pregnant with our pup. She'd wanted to pay a visit to her father, but I'd insisted I would go on her behalf so she didn't have to stress. It had seemed like the best thing to do, until I'd returned to the pack and received the news of her death. Damon studied me. "We know you're not here because you've finally gotten past the guilt," He said, concern etched in his expression. "Whatever brought you here must be important." It wasn't a question. He was only giving me the chance to carry on with why I'd paid them a visit.
